Heres a view of the chickens' new accommodation. It's an excellent shelter and helps cut down on the labour needs, however the original pasture pens still have a role to play on the farm. Again the key with this shelter is FRESH GRASS for the chickens at all times, which is the underlying fundamental of the pasture poultry model. It sets us apart from the free range model, which relies on access to the outside. We go one step further.........Pasture poultry = fresh grass = better taste, simple as that.
