What's the Story with TTIP?

We all are a bit like the tracker mortgage man in this advert when it comes to TTIP.  Even the name TTIP - Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership doesn't roll of the tongue.  Try saying TTIP with a few craft beers on board.  Trust me it's not simple!

This explainer video from the people at 38 degrees outlines TTIP nice & clearly.  There is a void of information on TTIP.  All discussions are behind closed doors.  We in Ireland with our small open economy should be hyper aware of the effects TTIP will have on trade, agriculture, workers rights & financial institutions etc.  But we are not.  In Ireland it's time for a serious discussion on TTIP.  Maybe we should ask tracker mortgage man to kick it off?
