Is this another sign of the emergence of a Celtic Cow Economy? Hopefully it is a signal of a renewed recognition in the importance of Agriculture to this open economy of ours, and good to see a good news story. Check out Donall O Connor & Michael O Donnell idea below and how they faired out on the dragons den. (two Mountbellew/GMIT Agribusiness graduates I might add)

Centre Of Learning Under Threat of Closure
http://www.galwaynews.ie/6581-plans-close-mountbellew-agricultural-college
As reported in the Connacht Tribune yesterday, Mountbellew Agricultural college is under threat of closure, I am a past pupil and this closure would have a huge effect on the area of agricultural training in the west of Ireland and on the town of Mountbellew itself.
Mountbellew is an exceptional college at fostering the entrepreneurial spirit among young farmers, It would be a shame for it to close, as it is the last agricultural college in the West, and it is exactly this type of training that young rural people need now to help start up local owned and operated business.
A Campaign will be mounted to reverse this decision, more details on this later.
